Makeup Bag Essentials

My makeup is normally stored in drawers or on a display on top of my dressing table. I only really use makeup bags when traveling, but I do keep a small makeup bag in my purse for my everyday touch-up essentials.

Today I wanted to share with you the products that get me through the day

Lipstick: I normally have 5 lipsticks that I regularly alternate in my makeup bag. They are all very similar in shade, if you want to see my top 5 favourite lipsticks click here. Today I have the Charlotte Tilbury MATTE Revolution lipstick in Pillow Talk. This is a great “your lips but better” shade. I´m currently obsessing over it. I also love to use the Clarins Instant Light Perfector in the shade 07  in the early afternoon. After wearing lipstick for several hours my lips normally tend to dry up, that’s when I use my trusty Lip Perfector, it not only hydrates my lips but it also looks incredible layered on top of fading lipstick.

Lip Liner: My one and only is the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk, its by far my favourite lip liner. I´m not going to go on about it much longer as I feel I have spoken many times about it, its perfect!

Blotting sheets: I do tend to get quite shiny during the day and I usually use these blotting sheets by NYX. They´re quite good, they don’t have the best packaging but they are very affordable and get the job done.

Powder: After blotting I like to apply a bit of powder, I always use the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Difussed Light. I love this powder as it doesn’t leave you with a matte flat finish, its very luminous and leaves your skin looking full of life.

Highlighter: I sometimes like to add a bit of highlighter if I feel that my skin is looking a bit dull and tired. Benefit makes the best mini highlighters, I like using High Beam and Sun Beam.

Let me know what products make it into your makeup bag staples.

  2. My staples are concealer, powder, cream highlighter, eye liner & eyebrow gel and mascara. I think I can live without the other makeup items but these few I can't.

  8. I love how minimal your makeup bag essentials are. All the pieces are so cute yet classy.

Sometimes I can't help but bring with me at least 3 shades of lipstick, at least 2 palettes, and oh wait, my mascara, my brow tint...etc.etc.
