Glossier Haul and UK Pop-Up Store!

Glossier Haul

Have you heard? Glosseir will be opening a pop-up shop in London for 8 days!!
It will be open from the 15th to the 22nd November in Marylebone, I can’t wait!

I did a little online order when Glossier first launched in the UK and I thought this was the perfect opportunity to share my thoughts on the brand.

Cloud paint: Probably one of my favourite products from the brand. I am a big fan of liquid/cream blush, but brands don’t always get it right. Cloud Paint is perfect, it blends seamlessly onto the skin and has a very natural finish with a lightweight texture. Its great for day time looks or “no makeup” looks. The packaging can be improved, although I love the aesthetic I don’t like how the product is dispensed as I always squeeze too much product out and its just a waste. The shade I have is dusk and its just perfect for my skin tone.

Boy brow. This is Glossier´s best selling product and I can definitely see why. Its definitely an innovative product, it contains natural waxes that hold hairs in place without stiffness. Its almost like a pomade in a brow gel packaging. I have it in brown and I do think it’s a tinny bit too light for me, I might try the darkest shade next.

Generation G lipsticks. This product is also quite different to other lipsticks, its matte whilst being hydrating and sheer all at the same time. It almost looks as if you have blotted your lipstick. You can definitely build it up. Mine is the shade Like which is a powdery mauvy-pink- Again its perfect is you are going for a natural look

Stretch Concealer. Love the consistency but don’t like the coverage. Its definitely hydrating it doesn’t cake like traditional concealers but the coverage is not powerful enough to hide my darks circles, I also don’t love how it looks under the eyes but do use it for covering redness and spots.

The Milky Jelly Cleanser seems to be a crowd pleaser, but I have to admit its not for me. It doesn’t remove makeup and has a strong rose scent. Its best used as a second cleanser or a morning cleanser. It does leave your face feeling moisturised but that’s basically all it does. I just think there are better cleansers out there.

Smoothing face mist. Its basically like spraying water onto your face with a rubbish spray. I’m not sure if all bottles work the same or if I just got a bad one but it drips and it doesn’t spray with a fine mist, more like heavy rain. I didn’t expect miracles from this face mist but I did hope it could somehow calm down my skin or at least add a layer of hydration, it did nothing.

Let me know if you have tried the brand and what products you would recommend!

  1. Interesting to read your thoughts because I feel like everyone loves everything but you're saying the reasons why you don't like them. I haven't bought anything from them yet but the cloud paints are my number one that I'm interested in!

  2. Looks so good! I really want to get some Glossier stuff soon.

  3. I've never heard of this brand before! Need to give it a try asap x

  4. Cloud Paint sounds like such a dreamy, lightweight product - I'm all for liquids over powders! It's interesting to hear Milky Jelly Cleanser didn't tick the right boxes for you, as it seems to constantly receive so much hype! Thanks for the honest review; anything Glossier related is SO dreamy haha :)

  5. It's bad, the face mist didn't work for you.. I liked the lipstick, what a beautiful neutral shade.

  6. girl YES!!! i love me some glossier. i'm so happy to see it available in the uk now, i think i'm too spoiled since i'm from the us and we literally get everything first lol. i really want to try cloud paint, though i have a bunch of blushes... like more than 10.... to use up first lol. if cloud paints are on sale/in a bundle with something i already use from glossier, i'm gonna make the purchase but if not i'll try to use up at least one blush first.

boy brow is my faaaave. it goes so well with no makeup makeup and a full face of makeup, too! i'm not the biggest fan of generation g just because it's... literally a tinted lip balm imo and i can mix something up with my lipsticks and lip balms, but it's definitely nice if you're one to touch up with it throughout the day!

agree with the milky jelly cleanser - it only seems to take off makeup when you barely have any on/it's not waterproof. it's so nice for my dry skin though, it doesn't leave it feeling as stripped as other cleansers do!

  7. I looove the Cloud Paints, I have Puff which is the most beautiful light pink! I also squeeze out way too much at a time though, lucky that it blends so well haha x

  8. Wow, these products sound good, I love the lipstick. Would love to try this shade <3
    Have a great day <3

  9. never tried the brand!
    but it's a nice post!

  10. I've still to try anything Glossier. I think when the pop up opens I'll prefer that x

  11. i was actually close to crying when i saw that the glossier store is only open for such little amount of time. i can't get glossier where i live and i'm in london in almot feels like im not meant to use glossier.

  12. Beautiful products! Nice post dear!

  13. I haven't tried Glossier, as nothing that I've seen has really excited me, but it does sound like they have some really good products. It also sounds very hit and miss, as the spray you mentioned doesn't sound too good. Heavy rain isn't too good for a spray haha!xx

  16. I don’t have any of the Cloud Paints because I don’t use cream blush all that often, but I totally agree that the packaging is really cute but probably pretty inconvenient, because of course you’re left with a blob on your hand that probably ends up staining it for the day with the blush colour. Though I’m not sure how else they could have packaged a gel blush like that that would make it easier to use, but that’s all part of the reason why I haven’t bought one myself.

I LOVE the Glossier concealer, but perhaps if you don’t think it’s got enough coverage for your dark circles it might work better if you use a corrector underneath? I find that I can build it up to the level of coverage I like if I’m using it on its own, but it’s also great layered with other concealers that might look a bit dry or cakey otherwise because the mixture is a lot creamier and easier to work into the skin so it looks more natural. And that’s so funny you’re not into the MJC, it’s such a cult product! I totally agree that it’s better as a second or morning cleanse, but I personally love it because I think the pump packaging is great, and it’s really reasonably priced compared to a lot of the other ones out there that I like.
