I do tend to switch up my makeup quite regularly,
specially when the seasons change. Lately I have been wearing the same look
daily. I really love natural looking skin, golden eye and a trusty winged
liner. These are the products I use:
Base:
- Dior Diorskin Forever Foundation: I have been obsessed with this for months. I really love its medium coverage and natural finish. If you want to know more about this foundation she my review here.
- Bobbi Brown corrector in light to medium bisque: This is a great corrector to counter act dark circles. But you do have to be careful and use it sparingly as it can cake-up. I recommend to use a good moisturizing eye cream with it, and if you have very dry skin I wouldn’t recommend it for you.
- Maybelline The Eraser Eye Concealer: This is a great drugstore concealer, I layer it up on top of the Bobbi Brown corrector and blend. I really like how it helps to brighten the under eye area.
- Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer: Another great drugstore concealer. This one is a bit more brightening. I only use it when by dark circles are quite bad. I layer it up on top of the Maybelline concealer in a V shape and blend it using a beauty blender.
- Hourglass Ambient lighting palette in Surreal Light: I won´t go on about this too much as it’s the only thing I have been talking about for months. I have been using this palette daily, specially the blush in Surreal Glow and the highlighter in Surreal strobe light. I also sometimes use the Bronzer in Surreal Bronze light. It definitely helps beat the winter dull face some of us tend to have around this time of year. Check out my review here.
- Sun Beam Benefit: I also like adding an extra subtle bronzy glow to lighten up my complexion. I really like this highlighter, it works just as good in summer and in winter.
Eyes:
- Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion: This is one of the best eye primers out there. It helps your eyeshadow last from morning to night.
- Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette: I love neutral eye palettes and I do have quite a lot in my collection. I have been using the Chocolate Bar palette quite a lot recently because of its rich warm tone browns. It also has love golden shades, excellent for this time of year.
- Rimmel Glam´Eyes Liquid Liner: I have been using this liner for years. I love it for its fine and flexible nib. It doesn’t have a felt-tip, the applicator is made out of thin hairs, very similar to the ones you can find in a nail polish or on an eye brush. The hairs are perfectly shaped into a fine point helping with a precise application.
- Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara: This is a very black and volumising mascara, it also gives nice separation and length. This is the only one I have been using since I tried it a few months back. You do have to be a bit careful, to many coats can give you clumpy lashes. In my opinion two coats are enough to give you nice long and volumised lashes.
- Benefit Gimme Brow Brow Gel: Benefit has really upped their brow game with the re-vamping of their brow range. This little brow gel is perfect when you don’t really have too much time to spend on your brows. It does a good job a filling in the gaps and making your brows stay in place. Review here.
