New: Kiehl´s Midnight Recovery Botanical Cleansing Oil

New: Kiehl´s Midnight Recovery Botanical Cleansing Oil

It’s no big secret that I am a huge fan of the Kiehl’s midnight recovery range. The face oil and eye cream are two staples in my night time skin care routine. I have repurchased them time and time again and will continue doing so in the future.

Kiehl´s Midnight Recovery Botanical Cleansing Oil

It’s only natural that my excitement grew when I found out that the midnight recovery range was expanding and introducing a cleansing oil. I have been meaning to try cleansing oils for a while now but I never saw one that stud out enough for me to try it out, that is, until a saw the Kiehl’s one of course.

I mean, I was so desperate to try it out that I even went into a Kiehl’s store and asked if they could sell me a bottle even though the product wouldn’t launch in the UK for another week. Thankfully the sales assistant that I spoke to was so nice she let me buy it.

The formula is extremely light weight and easy to spread. You apply it on dry skin and massage it all over the face, two small pumps is enough. You will start to see how the makeup is lifting away and melting. You’ll end up looking like a panda but you just then need to simply rinse it out with water and you are done.

It doesn’t leave your skin feeling tight nor dry and it also doesn’t leave a weird oily residue on the skin.

Kiehl´s Midnight Recovery Botanical Cleansing Oil

I like this oil because it’s really gentle on the skin, there is no rubbing or pulling needed, therefore your skin won’t suffer or age faster. It is also mineral oil free which is always a plus and it has the same soothing botanical scent and the Midnight recovery face oil, perfect to help you unwind after a busy day.

Top 5: March Edition

Top 5: March Edition

It’s incredible how quickly time goes by, it seems it was only yesterday when I was planning Christmas themed content and know I’m writing my march favourites.

march favourites spring lilies

I like to keep these posts short but sweet and only feature products I have really enjoyed. During the month of March these were the products I kept reaching for constantly:

The Charlotte Tilbury Bronze and Glow is an amazing palette, not only is the packaging stunning but the bronzer and the highlight are a match made in heaven. The bronzer does a great job at warming up the complexion and the shade is a good match for my skin. I also really enjoy using the golden bronzer from this palette, I think it will look even better once I get a tan.

Dior lip sugar scrub. I fell in love with this product from the first application. The sugar particles do a great job at exfoliating the lips and instantly dissolve leaving a hydrating stain on the lips. There is no oily residue and there is no need to wipe it off. It’s just the best product to use to prep your lips.

The Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in Pillow Talk is just the perfect lipstick to wear when you don’t want to look like your wearing too much makeup. The formula glides smoothly on the lips and the bullet smells like vanilla, my favourite lipstick scent. It isn’t the most long-lasting  lipstick I have ever tried, but at least it fades evenly and doesn’t leave a weird stain on the lips.

Jo Malone Peony and blush suede candle is my new candle obsession. All the candles I own pale in comparison. I just love the soft sweet scent it delivers. It takes me to my happy place every time I burn it.

NYX blotting sheets. I have been getting a bit shinny lately and I find it really uncomfortable. I have been reaching a lot for these blotting sheets. I don’t love the packaging as sometimes whilst trying to grab a sheet you end up taking 4. But besides that, it does the job and its very affordable.

What products have you been loving in March?

Transitioning into Spring: Makeup Edit

Transitioning into Spring: Makeup Edit

It is finally starting to look like spring in the UK. The days are longer and the sun is finally shinning. This time of year I always tend to pack away my chunky sweaters and monochrome clothes and take out much lighter and colourful ones. I’m pretty basic during autumn/winter but absolutely love colour the rest of the year.

I also tend to change my makeup game a bit.

First I stop relying on my foundation´s SPF and crack out the sun cream.
My favourite at the moment is the Kiehl´s ultra light daily UV defence. I really like the consistency and the fact that it doesn’t leave a white cast on the face. It sinks in pretty quickly into the skin without it being to heavy or sticky.

During this time, I also tend to wear lighter foundations. I feel that with the sunshine, heavier and cakey foundations tend to show more therefore I normally opt for a skin like foundation that even out my skin tone. I have been liking the DiorCushion Forever foundation. It evens out the skin tone while letting your skin look like skin.

I also like my makeup to look fresh and dewy, I recently started using CharlotteTilbury´s Wonder Glow and I’m quite enjoying it. I layer it under foundation and it gives a subtle golden glow.

Adding to the glow I really enjoy using liquid highlighters, but more so in spring and summer. I just feel that powder products tend to be quite visible under natural light therefore I like substituting it for liquid highlighters that also add a touch of dewiness to the skin. My favourite at the moment are the HighBeam and Sun Beam from Benefit.

Lastly I also tend to switch matte lipsticks for those with a bit more sheen or a light gloss. I think it looks amazing in the warmer months.

My Monica Vinader obsession

My Monica Vinader obsession

My obsession with Monica Vinader jewellery began when I first laid my eyes on the Riva diamond hoop ring. I just thought it was so dainty and different and so me. My obsession for the brand grew and bit by bit I have been growing my collection.

Monica Vinader Jewellery

For those of you that don’t know, Monica Vinader is a British jewellery brand that stands out for her unique and individual designs. Many of the pieces can be personalised by engraving and most of the pieces are stackable to show your individual style.

You can find great Monica Vinader Discount codes by clicking the link

All the pieces in my collection are 18ct rose gold vermeil on sterling silver.

The Riva diamond hoop ring contains pave set diamonds, its unique design makes it look casual and very wearable. The band in quite thin and it just adds to its individuality. This has to be my favourite piece of the collection.

The Riva diamond wave staking ring is also very unique, it also contains diamond pave and the designs stands out as different and unique

The Alma studded earrings are also a unique piece. I am really into dainty small studs at the moment and these are just perfect. I also love their teardrop shape, it makes a nice refreshing change to normal round earring studs.

The two linear stone bracelets are the latest edition to my collection.
They look beautiful worn alone or stacked together. The dark purple stone is amethyst and the light violet stone is blue lace Agate. I love how well they complement each other and I think it will look even better on darker skin tones as the stones would stand out more, I can´t wait to get a tan!

My most precious piece in the collection is the diamond alphabet pendant as it was gifted to me by a very dear family member that is no longer with us. I love how delicate and dainty this piece is, I love pairing it with a small thin chain and the Ziggi mini petal pendant.

New: Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush Palette

New: Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush Palette

Most of you are well aware that hourglass is well known for their powder products and rightfully so. Their formula is very finely milled, meaning it will never leave your skin feeling powdery and their multidimensional pigments add a sort of soft focus effect to the skin leaving in slightly glowy but never glittery.

Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush Palette

Their blush formula is no exception. As they usually do every spring, hourglass has launched a limited edition blush palette. This year they have come up with the ambient strobe lighting blush palette. Which basically combines their strobe formula with blush pigments.

The blushes dramatically brighten your face and leave your skin looking very natural and luminous. They are a good option if you like luminous and glowy looking blushes but aren’t a fan of liquid blushes.

Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush Palette

I am a big fan of Hourglass as you can tell and do recommend this product is you’re a blush lover. I do feel like this blush blush formula is more pigmented than the rest I have tried, so its advised to apply it issuing a light hand.
