Favourite Travel Minis

Favourite travel minis spring lilies

Hey everyone I´m back! Since starting this blog I only really have taken a blogging break twice and that was due to my mental state at the time, things were going on and I couldn’t find the motivation and energy to blog. This time the reason is very different, and some of you may think its actually quite stupid so here it is, I was prepping for my summer holiday. I am a nervous traveller, the weeks prior I just get really anxious about it, the packing, the trip to the airport, the plane ride, it all just makes me really anxious and I don’t know why. I was so busy thinking of things I needed to pack and posts I needed to prepare that I spent my free time just worrying and making lists and not really doing much. Anyway, that’s not the point for this post, today I wanted to share with you my favourite minis to take on holiday.

Kiehl´s Ultra Facial cream. I am a huge fan of Kiehl´s skincare and this face cream is my favourite to take on beach holidays. I love it because it´s amazingly hydrating without it being to thick or greasy. The normal size of this face cream can be quite bulky, but this mini version is just perfect.

Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow. Its no secret that I am a massive fan of Wonderglow, I use it religiously during spring/summer, the original packaging is already quite sleek but I do prefer taking the mini version as it doesn’t take up too much space.

This Works Sleep Plus pillow spray. I use the full version on a daily basis as it helps me relax before I fall asleep. I specially love taking the mini version on holiday as new surroundings can sometimes feel a bit weird and foreign. By spritzing this on my pillow and going closing my eyes I can almost feel like I am in a familiar place and that certainly calms me down.

Benefit Sun Beam. By far my favourite summer highlighter, it just looks amazing with tanned skin. Its perfect for that golden goddess look. The one pictured here is actually the full version but I will be picking up a mini version before I leave.

Bobbi Brown rouge pot. I´d never though I would get along with cream blushes but I love then in the summer. It just gives an amazing healthy, glowy and juicy look. Again this is not a mini version but I have included it as it is super sleek and travel friendly.

Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir mascara. This is by far my favourite mascara as it has it all, length, volume and separation. I do have to admit the full size version is quite chunky and not really easy to travel with specially of you are only taking carry-on luggage with you. The mini version works just as well and it’s the perfect size to travel with.

Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm. This is one of my favourite cleansing balms ever and it can also double up as a mask. The full version is very big but this cute mini version is the perfect size to travel with.

Bumble and Bumble surf spray. Often when going to a beach holiday you find yourself washing your hair more often as your spending your days at the beach and the frequent use of heat stylers can often leave your hair looking really dry, therefore I love taking with me products I can use to style my hair without the use of heat. I love using sea salt sprays and it gives you wavy beach hair without all the fuss.

Spending a day in Richmond Park

Richmond Park

I have lived in London all my life but strangely enough I don’t think I have ever visited Richmond Park, at least not that I can remember. Last weekend as we were blessed with amazing weather we decided to take a day trip to Richmond.

Richmond Park

I am a city girl at heart but I do love being in green areas, London can be very grey and it’s nice to leave that behind from time to time. Richmond park is one of London’s eight Royal Parks and covers an area of 2500 acres. The main thing that makes Richmond stand out from the rest of Royal parks is the fact that they have deer that roam freely through the park. I didn’t know this before I planned the trip but from May to July deer give birth to their young therefore you may get to see baby deer, which is the cutest thing ever!

Richmond Park
Spot the deer!

On that day, they decided to take a stroll near the road and I was able to take these amazing shots of them. I didn’t go near them as you should keep a respectful distance and try not to startle them to much. I was extremely happy that I got to see these amazing animals up close. Society now or days don’t have any respect for animals and think they can use them like possession or objects, I couldn’t be more against that. I think we should all try to treat animals as our equals and protect and speak up form them as they don’t have a voice or a say in their life.

Richmond Park

The park itself is breathtaking, it has two small ponds which are ideal to have a picnic next too. I also love the fact that as the park is quite big and its not situated in central London in doesn’t feel too overcrowded. It’s just ideal to relax and enjoy the warmer months.

Trying out: Sarah Chapman Overnight Facial

I have probably mentioned this many times before but I am a big fan of Fleur de Force and I really respect her opinion when it comes to skincare and makeup. A few weeks ago she interviewed Sarah Chapman in her Youtube channel (click here if you want to watch). Sarah explained everything that goes behind her products and I instantly wanted to try them out for myself. I have been looking for a skincare product to use overnight just to change up my routine and I instantly felt intrigued by the Skinesis Overnight Facial.

Sarah Chapman Skinesis Overnight Facial

This oil/serum like product is mainly targeted to brighten and plump the skin in order to wakeup the next day with radiant, smoother and younger looking skin. It contains ingredients like Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Alpha Lipoic Acid and a cocktail of various types of oils like rose, jasmine, melon and jojoba.

I really like the texture of this products, but to be fair I love face oils. This product is slightly ticker than an oil but I wouldn’t class it as a serum neither.
I massage it all over my face at night time and when I have extra time I also use my jade facial roller to intensify the massage.

I do think my face looks slightly glowier the following morning but I can’t comment on its antiaging benefits as I have only been using it for about a month and my skin is quite smooth anyway.

What I do dislike is the scent of the overnight facial, Sarah created the product wanting to combine powerful potent ingredients with aromatherapy in order to feel like you are pampering yourself. Scents are very personal and everyone has their own tastes, and in my opinion the scent is too overpowering to ignore on first application.
The scent does face once you have massaged the product on your skin so that helps a lot.

Another thing that can put people off is its retails price, £49.00. But I do think its important to invest in skincare and spend less on makeup as some high street makeup brands are amazing in my opinion. But I probably wouldn’t bother spending so much money on skincare if your 21 or younger.

Overall I really like this product and I can ignore the fact that I don’t like how its smells and I would probably repurchase.

Let me know if you have tried this product and comment bellow on your favourite night time skincare products.
