If there is something I hate about the
colder months it´s definitely having chapped lips.
I hate how it feels and I hate how it
looks.
After searching and testing out different products
I have finally found my winter lip saviours.
These 3 products leave my lips looking and feeling
great.
Nuxe Reve de Miel: This is a cult classic
and rightfully so. This lip balm has a unique texture, I found it a bit weird
when I first used it but the results speak for themselves. It is quite thick
but also very nourishing. It´s my favourite lip balm to use before I go to bed.
It´s also the ideal lip balm to use underneath lipsticks, as it isn’t glossy it
wont affect the finish of your lipstick. Nuxe is easier to find now than it was
a few years back. You can buy the Reve de miel lip balm in Boots
and Feelunique.
Lip balms are great for chapped lips but my
lips can look very pale, and therefore I can sometimes look quite ghostly. When
I´m out and about I do often want to look my best but if you have chapped lips,
lipsticks can often look very strange on the lips.
For those types of days, I love using the Clarins
Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector
They give your lips a hint of colour but
and the same time they nourishing and repair your lips. The Clarins lip
perfector has quickly become a staple in my handbag, I don’t go anywhere with
out it. My favourite shade is 07, it has a rosie hue and smells absolutely
yummy too.
Carmex
is an oldie but a goodie, my favourite one is the vanilla scent in the stick
version. It has menthol in it and makes your lips tingle when you apply it, I
really love that feeling. It´s so refreshing when your lips feel dry and
horrible. It also contains cocoa butter and leaves your lips feeling nice a
smooth.
Let me know what your favourite lip
products are for the winter months!
i'm such a carmex girl. nothing soothes my lips more and i just love it but i want to try the nuxe lip balm too.

The Nuxe lip balm is very different to the Carmex in. it has a thicker consistency and doesn't have menthol to give you a cooling feeling but it is very nourishing.

DeleteI have been using my lip balm like crazy and I purchased another one last week. The weather is getting so cold here and I need to protect my lips, but also, I have been using lots of hand cream to prevent my hands from cracking!

DeleteMy lips are usually dry but they get even worse in a&w and I have to apply lip balm all the time. Even though I heard a lot about the Nuxe one, I still haven't tried it. It's time to go for a heavy duty lip balm!
ReplyDeleteEla BellaWorld
Nuxe is quite heavy duty. It has a thicker consistency that normal lip balms and it's really nourishing. Thanks for stopping by!

ReplyDeletewww.prettyinleather.net

DeleteI reeeally need to up my lipcare! When I want to wear a bold lip colour, it never looks as good as it could because my lips are chapped!! Might have to treat myself to the Nuxe one, like you said there's a reason it's such a cult product! Thanks for the recommendations!
ReplyDeleteSinéad ♥ fabuleuse, toujours ♥
I have the same problem too. I have dry skin all over so my lips in winter are the worst! I love the Nuxe lip balm too but find it good only at bed time. it's too thick and white to apply during the day. I really want to try the Clarins one though :)
