Batiste Vs Colab

The first time I saw a dry shampoo I was amazed by the concept! I though it was the the lazy girls way to wash your hair, so naïve!

Colab Batiste

Although now I know that a dry shampoo isn’t an alternative to conventional shampoos it really can be a lifesaver sometimes.

Through the past two years more and more companies have brought out their own dry shampoo and its sometimes hard to find the right one for you.

Today I want to compare Batiste vs Colab.

colab

Batiste was the first shampoo I ever tried and provably one of the first to arrive to the UK market. Now Batiste is a well established brand, it makes dry shampoo in all different scents and sizes and has even started to branch out.

Colab on the other hand, is one of the newest additions to the dry shampoo family. This brand has grown very popular very fast thanks to the team they have behind, a model recommends, the Pixiwoo sisters, just to name a few.

But which one do I think is best?

Colab Batiste

I love batiste because it does the dirty work! When my hair has gone one day too long without a wash Batiste always helps my hair look cleaner, partly due to the formula being quite thick. Batiste does tend to leave white residue on your hair, which fades once you massage it thoroughly.

Colab has a thinner mist and doesn’t leave as much white cast as Batiste but I have to say it doesn’t do such a good job at covering greasy hair. On the other hand, I do feel it is a much better product if you want to add a bit of volume to second day hair.

So who wins this battle? I would say it´s a tie. Batiste is better for greasy hair days, and Colab is better to liven up second day hair.

Let me know which is your favourite dry shampoo?

  2. I totally agree with this - I have to use half a large can of Colab for it to actually do anything!

    1. My favourite everyday shampoo has to be Aussie mega shampoo, it leaves hair feeling really clean. But for my ends, that are also quite dry, I apply Kérastase Nutritive Masque for five minutes. I also use Moroccan oil. Since I started doing that I feel that my hair looks really nice and healthy.
      Hope this helps!
