My Top 3 Favourite Blushes

Blush is an absolute makeup bag staple for me. It can instantly make you look healthier and put together with a single swipe. But the wrong blush or too much blush can instantly make you look like you have just runaway from the circus.

Today I wanted to share with you my top 3 blushes.

Top 3 favourite blushes

Hourglass ambient lighting blush in Dim Infusion. This blush is the reason why I fell in love with Hourglass as a brand. It looks so natural and glowy on the skin without having a single speck of glitter. The powder is so finely milled it doesn’t feel powdery at all. The blush shade is perfect for the day time and it looks beautiful in the pan.

Lancome Cushion Blush Subtil in 032 Splash coral. This is a recent purchase but I immediately feel in love with it since the first application. I wasn’t totally convinced with the cushion hype that was going on, but anything designed by Lisa Eldridge (creative director of the the brand) is worth a try. It applies really smoothly and evenly, I normally use a stippling blush and the blend it out either with fingers or a Beauty Blender. I love the juicy finish it gives and the longevity, it lasts longer that powder blush.

Hourglass Surreal Light blush in Surreal Glow. This is the kind of blush that doesn’t look that appealing on the pan but then looks absolutely gorgeous on the skin. This is by far the most natural looking blush I own. In my opinion the Surreal glow formula is slightly better than the ambient lighting formula. Unfortunately, they only sell it individually, you can only get hold of this blush by purchasing the palette.

  2. I love the colours and marble effect in the Hourglass palette. I've never used the brand but impressed with the ones you have mentioned above. I struggle with blusher to get it to look right and tend to go for bronzing pearls for a natural glow. Would love to be a bit braver with blush colours and coord with outfits better.
Thanks for sharing your top picks.

  19. I keep meaning to try the Lancome cushion blushes. They look really nice but they're SO expensive for just a blush, you know? And I already have easily over 100 blushes (literally...)
