I
find that summer is such a fun time of the year, days are longer, the weather
is warmer, the clothes are more colourful and awesome and the sun shines
brighter.
Having
longer days and warm weather does make me want to be out an about more, (I
basically hibernate in winter, I can’t take the cold). But that also means my
skin tends to get tanned and when that happens I love changing up my makeup
game for warmer and bronzier tones.
I love
including the Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow into my makeup routine. I use
it as a primer and it just gives the perfect base and also makes your skin look
glowier, I´m a big fan.
Its
no secret that I have totally fallen in love with cushion blush since spring
started, I love the juicy and plump finish it gives to the cheaks. Im still
using my Lancome Cushion Blush but I have also recently discovered the Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge, it has a similar finish to the Lancome cushion blush. I
think I slightly prefer the Lancome blush but this one is a great option to
take on holiday as the packaging is slimmer, plus you can also use it on your
lips.
I am
a sucker for neutral eye-shadows, but in summer and set it up a notch and add
gold and bronzy tones. I love to use this Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palettein The Golden Goddess. It is quite an expensive palette but the actual
formula is amazing, it lasts all day and there is no fallout,
I love
using liquid highlighters all year round, I much prefer the finish. Powder
highlighters often look a bit powdery and I feel like they don’t last as long
on the skin. Whilst in autumn/winter I normally using a pink base highlighter and
change it up for a golden highlighter as soon as my skin tans slightly. My
favourite by far has to be the Benefit Sun Beam, its so easy to apply
and it looks amazing specially on bronzed skin.
And
last but not least, would it really be summer without a bronzer? Well, I do use
bronzer during the entire year, but I do tend to use slightly shimmery bronzers
during summer. My favourite bronzer of all time has to be this Chanel bronzer
pictures but unfortunately it was part of their limited edition summer
collection a few years ago. Charlotte Tilbury’s Filmstar Bronze and Glow bronzer
is an amazing pick for summer, Guearlain make amazing bronzers but I think this
year I will be trying out the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy GlowLuminous Colour lets hope I fall in love with it because they are quite pricey.
Let
me know what makeup products you can live without during summer!

I feel like cream textures are the way to go during the summer. The Cushion Blush from Lancome sounds so like a treat! I hadn't heard of it.
ReplyDeleteI struggled with my Bobbi Brown pot rouge, but I haven't touched it in so long that it might be worth testing it again. I'd quite like to try more cream blushers, but I want something quite wet in texture.

Sun Beam looks like such a great product! Other than sunscreen (lol, I'm that person), in the summer I can't live without my powder foundation to dust away sweat and shine.

To be fair, I am not a fan of Chanel products but this was very good and not so shiny on my face! It's a bit expensive, but I highly recommend it!
ReplyDeleteGreat picks!
